Ferjuleiðir ehf. is a ferry company based in Reykjavík and operator of the Breiðafjörður ferry Baldur. The line is part of Iceland's road network: the road authority Vegagerðin awards the ferry service as a public contract, and Ferjuleiðir runs it as a scheduled service carrying passengers, vehicles and freight. The company operates no other routes.

The Baldur is a car ferry that shuttles between Stykkishólmur on the Snæfellsnes peninsula and Brjánslækur on the south coast of the Westfjords, calling at the island of Flatey along the way. Free Wi-Fi and catering are available on board, and groups can pre-order a menu. Pets travel in designated areas, dogs either on a lead or in a crate.

The company's only line is Stykkishólmur - Brjánslækur, taking around two and a half hours; the shorter legs to Flatey take about ninety minutes from Stykkishólmur and around an hour from Brjánslækur. Sailings run year-round across two timetable periods, summer from June to August and autumn/winter from September to May; there is no service on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve and New Year's Day. Vehicle and pet
Vehicles travel only between the two mainland ports; passengers to and from Flatey travel on foot, with freight but no vehicles. The company charges by length: cars up to five metres form the base rate, with a surcharge per additional metre, plus separate rates for wide vehicles, motorhomes, caravans, trailers, motorbikes and coaches. Booking is online through the ferry company or via the booking window on the route page. Fares are available for adults, seniors from 67 and people with disabilities, young people aged 12 to 17, and free travel for accompanied children up to eleven; Westfjords residents get a discount after registering. Rebooking is free up to 24 hours before departure; later changes and cancellations incur a fee.
